The acrylic face is heated and vacuum-formed over a mold into a raised, shaped shell, then set on an aluminum or stainless-steel back that carries the LED modules.
Most are front-lit in a single color — white, red, yellow, blue, green or a custom color — with back- or side-lighting available. The same process makes shaped franchise-style logo boxes.
Resistant to heat, corrosion and weather, and slow to deform or fade. The LEDs are UL-certified for illuminated letters.

- Construction
- An acrylic sheet is heated and vacuum-formed over a mold into the letter or logo shape, then fixed to an aluminum or stainless-steel back that holds the LED modules.
- Illumination
- LED modules inside the letter light the formed face from behind, usually in a single color. Power comes from a 100–240V supply stepped down to 12–24V DC.
- Installation
- Mounted directly to the wall or on a raceway through back holes or screw bolts; window-mounted and hanging versions are also made.
- Packing
- Each piece is wrapped in protective film and bubble wrap, then packed in a paper or wooden carton.
