Halo-lit letters throw light backward onto the wall behind them, so each letter sits in a soft glow of its own outline. Ours pair that halo with a lit face: metal returns, an acrylic face lit from inside, and a separate rear-facing source for the halo.
Each letter stands 3–5cm off the wall on matched standoffs, leaving a 3–8cm gap for the halo to spread evenly. The face and halo run on their own circuits, so one failing never takes out both. They suit feature and logo walls, premium shopfronts and hotel lobbies, and show best against a light, matte wall.
Also made as house and address numbers: halo-lit stainless steel numerals for homes, apartments and hotel doors.

The decisions that change how the finished sign looks, lasts and installs.
Interior feature and logo walls, premium shopfronts and hotel lobbies, at lower levels and out of strong wind.
Face and halo sources must run on their own circuits and supplies, so one failing doesn't take out both.
The return needs light-blocking so the two sources don't bleed into each other and gray out.
Standoffs must be identical in length, or the halo reads unevenly around the letter.
A light-colored, matte wall shows the halo best.

05Questions1 item
Can one letter be both front-lit and halo-lit?
Yes. Combining a front-lit face with a rear halo is an established technique for premium signage. The face uses an acrylic panel with an internal source, and a separate rear source throws light onto the wall to form the halo.
