Strokes meeting at less than 60° can shadow where internal light cannot reach, so sharp junctions are best drawn as smooth radii.
A rough edge scatters light and produces dark patches and hot spots, so edges are fine-ground smooth — no tool marks, no sharp edges, and even light with no dark border.

05Questions2 items
Should I choose acrylic or metal letters?
Acrylic gives the most flexible lighting — front, edge, back, or a 180° to 360° through-body glow — with front-lit strokes as fine as 1mm, a clean modern look, and a lower price, best suited to interiors out of prolonged direct sun. Metal letters run mainly front- or halo-lit, with edge-lit and exposed-LED options for heavier strokes, giving a stronger metallic, luxurious or retro presence that's abrasion- and scratch-resistant indoors or out, at a higher cost.
Can acrylic letters be made in dual colors, gradients, or partially transparent?
Yes — a few ways: layering different colored acrylic for two-tone or partially transparent effects, an applied film on the face for two-tone or gradient looks, UV printing directly on the face for two-tone, gradient or full artwork, or an RGB light source for a shifting color effect.
