We fabricate metal letters from real metal — 201, 304 or 316 stainless steel, or aluminum — as dimensional or flat-cut letters, or open-face fillable letters, in brushed, mirror, titanium or painted finishes.
Stainless steel letters and other dimensional metal letters are always real metal rather than a coated substitute, for strength and stability — corrosion-resistant and suitable for almost every interior and exterior application.
Stainless steel grades: 201, 304 and 316
The grade decides how a letter stainless steel sign ages. 304 is the mainstream choice and suits almost any interior or exterior use. 201 costs less but can rust, so it belongs indoors, on short-term projects or tight budgets. 316 is the most corrosion-resistant grade, for coastal and salt-spray sites, chemical plants, and hot, humid conditions.
Dimensional, flat-cut and fillable letters
Dimensional letters are fabricated in three dimensions with a face and returns; flat-cut letters are cut from solid plate. Both come in stainless steel or aluminum. Fillable letters are open-faced metal letters whose channel is filled — resin, artificial moss, flowers, pom-poms or sweets — so the fill becomes the face of the sign.
Interior and exterior lettering
Dimensional and flat letters work inside and out — storefronts, public buildings, hotel entrances and office walls — and need very little maintenance. Brushed is the easiest finish to live with; mirror makes the strongest impression but shows every mark; painted gives any color. Letters fix through back holes onto studs, or with adhesive. For a name at the scale of the building, see building signs.
Stainless steel letters for sign shops
Sign shops and resellers looking for stainless steel letter manufacturers can send drawings or artwork with the grade and finish they need; we return a design and proposal within 2–3 business days. Letters up to 2m are produced in 7–15 days, and overseas orders ship in factory-built timber crates. More on how we work for sign companies and resellers.

05Questions
3 items
Which stainless steel grade should I choose?
304 is the mainstream choice and suits almost any interior or exterior application. 201 costs less but can rust, so it's best for interiors, short-term projects or a tight budget. 316 is the most corrosion-resistant grade, for coastal and salt-spray sites, acid rain, chemical-plant environments, or hot, humid conditions.
Which finish is easiest to maintain?
Brushed is the easiest to live with — it hides fingerprints and light scratches, rinses clean, and stays stable against corrosion. Mirror is strongly reflective, so every fingerprint and water mark shows, and light scratches can't be polished out. Painted gives full color freedom and resists dirt, fingerprints and UV, though a hard knock chips the paint and touch-ups can show a slight color difference.
What can go inside a fillable letter?
Almost anything that holds its shape in the channel: resin, artificial moss, artificial flowers, pom-poms, bouncy balls or sweets. Tell us the fill with your artwork and we'll build the letter around it.
