The decisions that change how the finished sign looks, lasts and installs.
Whether a design translates depends on its stroke width, scale and how its lines connect, so we check feasibility against your artwork before production rather than after.
Complex artwork can be paired with printed panels or partial cut-outs alongside the neon, so the finished piece keeps the original design even where the tubing cannot follow it.
04Questions3 items
LED faux-neon or traditional glass neon — what's the right choice for us?
LED neon runs on low-voltage (12V/24V) flexible LED strip inside a silicone diffuser, glowing across 180°. It's safer, more durable, brighter, cheaper to maintain, and flexible enough for intricate shapes — well suited to storefronts, trendy retail spaces, and larger pieces on a budget, though it reads flatter than glass. Traditional glass neon uses gas-filled glass tubing at several thousand volts, glowing a full 360° with a soft, handcrafted look — but it's fragile, higher-voltage, limited in color, costlier, and can't render small or intricate designs. It suits bars, art installations, and retro-styled spaces with the budget for it.
Can brightness, color, and animation be controlled?
LED neon supports dimming, gradient fades, chasing/marquee effects, and full RGB color. Glass neon can only be dimmed to a limited degree and can't do multi-color or programmed animation.
Can you faithfully reproduce a detailed logo in neon?
It depends on the logo's stroke width, scale, and how its lines connect — not every design translates directly, so we review feasibility against your artwork before production. As a guide, traditional glass tubing needs strokes over 6mm, with single-line English lettering above 10cm and Chinese characters above 15cm (roughly double for double-line letterforms); LED neon can go smaller, with single-line English lettering above 5cm and Chinese above 10cm. Complex artwork can be paired with printed panels or partial cut-outs alongside the neon for a complete look.
